Seal

"System" is the fifth studio album by British soul and R&B singer Seal, released on November 12, 2007. In his online blog, Seal described the album as a return to his dance roots, considering it his best work since his debut album. However, despite Seal’s positive assessment of the album, System became his lowest-selling album in the United States, with only 155,000 copies sold in its first year, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album features a mix of electronic, soul, and R&B influences, continuing the trend of introspective and emotionally charged music that Seal is known for. Despite its lackluster commercial performance in the U.S., System received some critical acclaim, particularly for its production and Seal's vocal performance. The album’s sound is more experimental than some of his earlier work, incorporating elements of electronic music and a more contemporary feel, blending Seal's soulful voice with an electronic backdrop. Though it didn’t achieve significant mainstream commercial success, System still marked an important evolution in Seal's musical career, showcasing his continued versatility as an artist.
