Scorpions

"Love at First Sting" is the ninth studio album released by the German heavy metal band Scorpions. The album debuted on March 27, 1984, and is hailed as one of the band's most successful works. Not only did it go double-platinum in the United States, but it also solidified the Scorpions' status as international stars. The album is renowned for introducing a host of high-charting singles. However, "Rock You Like A Hurricane," held the spotlight with its ranking among the band's most popular and loved songs. Other noteworthy tracks are "Still Loving You", and "Big City Nights." Produced by Dieter Dierks, the album marked a departure from the dark lyrical themes of their previous album, "Blackout", and instead explored stories of love and passion. Its cover artwork, crafted by the esteemed artist Storm Thorgerson, left a strong impression and added another layer of iconic status to the album. The recording of "Love at First Sting" took place at Dierks-Studios, a recording studio owned by the album's producer, Dieter Dierks, in Stommeln, a suburb of Cologne. The critical and commercial success of this album cemented it as one of the must-listen releases of 1980s rock music.
