Blancmange

"Happy Families Too..." is the fifth studio album by English band Blancmange, released as a re-recording of their 1982 debut, Happy Families. Initially available at Blancmange concerts in November 2013, it saw a wider release through Cherry Red Records in April 2014. The album revisits the original's themes and sounds, showcasing the band's evolution while honoring their early work. In November 2013, Blancmange launched a UK tour to perform their debut album, Happy Families, live for the first time. To coincide with this event, they re-recorded the album, which was available for purchase at venues during the tour. Although original member Stephen Luscombe contributed to the project, he was unable to join the tour due to health issues. The album's wider release in 2014 included five additional tracks, featuring remixes and a re-recording of the 1982 B-side "Running Thin." Neil Arthur expressed a desire to use modern technology to give the songs a fresh, contemporary feel rather than simply imitating the originals.
