"Believe You Me" is the third album by British synthpop band Blancmange, released in 1985. The album was preceded by the singles "Lose Your Love" and "What's Your Problem?".
The album was a significant departure from their previous synthpop sound and demonstrated an inclination toward a more sophisticated pop style. Musically, it's noted for fusing new wave with Indian classical music, funk, and pop.
However, it was met with mixed reactions upon its release and couldn't emulate the same commercial success that the band saw with their second album, "Mange Tout". Despite this, "Believe You Me" holds a special place in the band's discography and is celebrated for its unique blend of styles that was ahead of its time.
Unfortunately, due to lack of commercial success and internal conflicts, the band dissolved shortly after its release. Consequently, this album marked the end of Blancmange’s first era. The band eventually reformed, albeit with just one original member - Neil Arthur, and continued to produce music.
