"Bloodrock" is the self-titled debut album by the American hard rock band Bloodrock, released in 1970. The band was from Fort Worth, Texas, and was formed in 1969. The group, known for their heavy sound and somewhat gloomy lyrics, consisted of members Jim Rutledge, Lee Pickens, Ed Grundy, Stevie Hill, and Nick Taylor.
The album was produced by Terry Knight, who was also the producer for the popular band Grand Funk Railroad. The album's genre falls under Hard rock and Psychedelic rock.
Notably, the album included their single "Gotta Find a Way" which succeeded to reach a significant audience. It's worth mentioning that two songs, "Melvin Laid an Egg" and "Dier Not a Lover," were written by Grand Funk Railroad's manager/producer Terry Knight.
