"Wide River," the fifteenth album by the Steve Miller Band, arrived in 1993, marking their last release of original material to date. The title track, "Wide River," became their final Billboard Hot 100 single, reaching No. 64. Despite being their last studio album for a considerable period until "Bingo!" in 2010, it garnered sales exceeding 258,000 copies in the United States by 2010, as per Nielsen SoundScan data. In 2016, Sailor Records reissued the album on vinyl, and on May 24, 2019, UMe Label released it again, this time on exclusive translucent light blue vinyl and standard black vinyl, further extending its availability to fans.
