Gary Moore

"Live" is a live album by Gary Moore, recorded over two nights in 1980 at the Marquee Club in London. For this recording, Moore featured Kenny Driscoll, former frontman of Lone Star, on lead vocals, along with Andy Pyle from The Kinks on bass, Tommy Aldridge from Black Oak Arkansas and Pat Travers on drums, and keyboardist Don Airey, a former bandmate from Colosseum II. The performance primarily highlights material from Moore's 1979 solo album Back on the Streets, along with songs from his G-Force project and two tracks from Dirty Fingers. Additionally, the original composition "Dallas Warhead" includes a drum solo by Aldridge. Originally released in Japan in 1983 alongside the Dirty Fingers album, the album was later reissued multiple times under the title Live at the Marquee. It appeared on CD in 1990 via Castle Communications. On October 23, 2000, Sanctuary Records released a remastered CD version that preserved the original material without any additional tracks. Jeff Clark-Meads noted that the album captures "every sweaty, heaving, raucous, ribald detail" of Moore's live performances at that time.
