"Armageddon" is the only studio album by the English hard rock band Armageddon, released in 1975. The band was formed by former Yardbirds guitarist Keith Relf and also featured Bobby Caldwell on drums, Louis Cennamo on bass, and Martin Pugh on guitar.
The album is characterized by its heavy, riff-driven sound, combining elements of hard rock, blues, and progressive rock. With powerful vocals from Relf and intricate guitar work, "Armageddon" delivers a dynamic and energetic listening experience.
Standout tracks on the album include the epic opener "Buzzard," the bluesy "Silver Tightrope," and the hard-hitting "Paths and Planes and Future Gains." The album also features a cover of the classic blues song "Rolling Home," showcasing the band's versatility and musical influences.
While "Armageddon" received positive reviews from critics for its musicianship and songwriting, the band struggled to achieve commercial success. Despite this, the album has since gained a cult following among fans of 1970s hard rock and remains a noteworthy entry in the genre's history.
