"Faces" is the tenth studio album by Earth, Wind & Fire, released on October 14, 1980, through ARC/Columbia Records. The album achieved significant success, reaching number 10 on the Billboard Top LPs chart, number 2 on the Top Soul albums chart, and number 10 on the UK Albums Chart. It was certified Gold by the RIAA in the U.S.
Partly recorded on the Caribbean island of Montserrat, Faces was produced by band leader Maurice White. The album features contributions from notable artists, including Fred Wesley and Steve Lukather of Toto. In a 2007 interview, White expressed his fondness for Faces, stating it was a time when the band was “really in tune” and able to explore new musical territories.
The album produced several successful singles: "Let Me Talk" peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart and No. 29 on the UK Pop Singles chart. "You" reached Nos. 10 and 30 on the Billboard R&B Singles and Adult Contemporary charts, respectively. "And Love Goes On" climbed to No. 15 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart.
