"Somewhere to Elsewhere" is the fourteenth studio album by the American rock band Kansas, released in 2000. This album marked a significant reunion as it featured the band's original lineup, though they did not all record together in the studio. It also included Billy Greer, who had joined the band in 1985.
The recording process was unique, with Steve Walsh recording his vocals separately in his home studio while simultaneously working on his second solo album, "Glossolalia." Kerry Livgren, the band's primary songwriter, composed all the tracks on the album. Notably, the hidden track "Geodesic Dome" marked Livgren's first and only lead vocal on a Kansas song.
"Somewhere to Elsewhere" is notable as the last studio album to feature both Robby Steinhardt, who departed from the band in 2006 and passed away in 2021, and Steve Walsh, who left Kansas in 2014.
