"Two for the Show" is the debut live album by American progressive rock band Kansas, released in 1978. It captures recordings from the band's tours in 1977 and 1978, showcasing their dynamic performances. Shortly after its release, the album achieved Gold and Platinum certifications. In 2008, a remastered and expanded edition was released to commemorate its 30th anniversary. The album includes the single "Lonely Wind," which was edited down to under 3 minutes for radio play. It featured a portion of the preceding piano solo and reached No. 60 on the pop charts, receiving praise for its lush harmonies and characteristic Kansas ballad style. Additionally, Kirshner Records issued a promotional album titled "Kansas Mini Concert" or "Two for the Show Special Limited Edition," featuring edited selections from the live album. This promotional release included tracks like "Lonely Wind," "Dust in the Wind," "Song for America," and "The Wall." Notably, the album's first side was unbanded, meaning there were no indications of where each song began on the vinyl, and it was issued with both black and white cover variants.
