The Hollies

"Would You Believe?" is an album by the British rock band The Hollies, released in 1966. This album was a departure from the group's previous records, featuring a more experimental sound and diverse material. With songwriting credits going to all members of the group, the album showcases The Hollies' increasing growth and maturity. The album is characterized by a mix of folk rock and pop rock songs, some of which have RnB influences. Some of Britain's top session musicians contributed their skills to creating a rich, full sound that took the band to a new level of sophistication without losing the trademark harmonies and catchy melodies. The biggest hit from this album was "I Can't Let Go", which reached the top of the charts in the UK and the US. Other standout tracks include "I've Got a Way of My Own" and "I Can't Get Nowhere With You". Despite being overshadowed by the band's more commercially successful work in their later years, "Would You Believe?" is often considered to be among The Hollies finest moments.
