"Man of Miracles" is the fourth album by Styx, released in October 1974. It entered the Billboard Album charts on November 9, reaching No. 154. This was the band's last original album on the independent Chicago-based label Wooden Nickel Records before their transition to the major label A&M.
The album features a diverse sound, highlighting the styles of two band members. James "JY" Young's contributions lean towards straight-ahead hard rock, while Dennis DeYoung's songs are more mellow, incorporating elements of classical and progressive rock. The original release included an upbeat cover of "Lies" by The Knickerbockers, but a subsequent release replaced it with "Best Thing," a track from their first album. In 1980, the album was reissued with new artwork and a shorter title, Miracles, starting the second side with DeYoung's ballad "Unfinished Song."
