"Sky Trails" is David Crosby's sixth solo album, released on September 29, 2017, through BMG Music. This album marks a prolific period for Crosby, as it's his third release in less than four years, in contrast to the lengthy gap between his earlier solo albums.
The album features contributions from a variety of musicians, many of whom have collaborated with Crosby in the 21st century. Notable collaborators include producer James Raymond and guitarist Jeff Pevar, both of whom were part of Crosby's band CPR. The album also features bassist Andrew Ford and drummer Steve DiStanislao, who toured with CPR. Additionally, Michael League from Snarky Puppy and singer-songwriter Becca Stevens, who appeared on Crosby's previous album, contribute to this project. Dean Parks, who worked with Crosby on his 2004 album with Graham Nash, also plays on Sky Trails.
The album reflects Crosby's rich songwriting and harmonious style, continuing to showcase his evolution as an artist.
