"Wild!" is the fourth studio album by English synth-pop duo Erasure, released in October 1989. The album was produced by the band along with Gareth Jones and Mark Saunders, and it was released by Mute Records in the UK and Sire Records in the U.S.
During the album's production, singer Andy Bell recorded with producer Gareth Jones at the Church Studios, while Vince Clarke worked on the synths and programming with Mark Saunders at his home studio in London.
Upon its release, Wild! became Erasure's second consecutive number-one album in the UK. All four singles from the album reached the UK Top 20, with "Drama!" and "Blue Savannah" both hitting the Top 5.
In the U.S., the album peaked at number 57 on the Billboard 200, but none of its singles made it onto the Billboard Hot 100. However, three songs from Wild! charted on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Notably, "You Surround Me" was not released as a single in the United States. The album also performed well in Germany, reaching number 16.
To promote Wild!, Erasure launched their first elaborately staged concert tour, featuring large sets, props, and multiple costume changes for Clarke and Bell, alongside back-up singers and dancers. The tour included over 100 dates and culminated in a major headlining show at the Milton Keynes Bowl, attracting an audience of 60,000 fans.
