The KLF

"Who Killed The JAMs?" is the second and final studio album by The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu (The JAMs). The JAMs are a British electronic band who later became known as The KLF. Released in 1988, this album comes as a follow-up to their debut, "1987 (What the Fuck Is Going On?)". It features a mix of hip hop, techno, and industrial influences. Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty, the men behind The JAMs, were fearless in incorporating heavy samples of other music into their tracks. This sampling technique eventually led them into legal troubles with other artists, an aspect which somewhat influenced the title of the album "Who Killed The JAMs?" Some notable tracks from the album are "It's Grim Up North", "Whitney Joins the JAMs" and "Down Town". The album is characterized by its satire, political commentary and innovation in sample-based music. However, this album didn't manage to achieve as much commercial success.
