"Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus" is a double album by American singer Miley Cyrus, released on June 26, 2007, under Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records. The album is divided into two parts: the first disc serves as the soundtrack for the second season of the television series "Hannah Montana," credited to Cyrus's character, and the second disc is Cyrus's debut studio album with new original material under her own name. Produced predominantly by Rock Mafia, with additional collaborations from Xandy Barry, Matthew Wilder, Scott Cutler, and Wendi Foy Green, the "Meet Miley Cyrus" section showcases Cyrus's transition from her Hannah Montana persona to her own identity. Upon its release, "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus" debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 325,000 copies. It has since been certified quadruple-platinum by the RIAA for exceeding four million units shipped. Cyrus became the seventh solo artist under the age of eighteen to achieve a number one album on the Billboard 200. The album also performed well internationally, charting in the top-twenty in several European and Oceanian countries. The singles from the album had notable success: "Nobody's Perfect," released from the Hannah Montana 2 portion, reached number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the highest-charting single under the Hannah Montana name. From the Meet Miley Cyrus section, "See You Again" became Cyrus's first top-ten single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number ten. "Start All Over," released only in Australia, also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 68. Overall, "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus" marked a significant moment in Miley Cyrus's career, showcasing her versatility as both a pop star and an actress while solidifying her presence in the music industry.
