"Glory" is the ninth studio album by Britney Spears, released on August 26, 2016, through RCA Records. After renewing her contract with RCA, Spears began working on the album in 2014, and continued into 2015 and 2016. The lack of a strict deadline allowed her to create what she considers one of her favorite albums. The album is primarily a pop record but incorporates elements of R&B, EDM, and hip hop.
Critics praised Glory for its production and Spears's vocal performance, and it was listed among her best records by several publications. Although it didn't match the commercial success of her earlier works, it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, marking her ninth consecutive top five album in the US. It topped the charts in the Czech Republic, Ireland, and Italy, and reached the top five in about 20 other countries.
The album's lead single, "Make Me," was released on July 15, 2016, and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single, "Slumber Party," came out on November 16, 2016, and peaked at number 86 on the Billboard Hot 100. To promote Glory, three promotional singles were released prior to the album's debut: "Private Show," "Clumsy," and "Do You Wanna Come Over?". Spears also promoted the album with TV appearances and performances, including at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
Glory was reissued twice in 2020, with the standard edition released on May 29 and the deluxe edition on December 4. "Mood Ring (By Demand)" was released as the album's third single on July 10, 2020; "Swimming in the Stars" was the fourth single, released on December 2, 2020; and "Matches" was the fifth and final single, released on December 18, 2020.
