"Rock n' Roll Nights" is an album by Canadian rock band Bachman–Turner Overdrive (BTO), released in 1979. This album is the eighth studio album by BTO and the ninth if including the band's 1973 album as Bachman–Turner. Deemed as their most commercial sounding album, it marked a departure from the signature sound of the band.
Rock n' Roll Nights is one of BTO's most distinct projects as it featured high-octane rockers combined with a few power pop numbers. The album also introduced new drummer Jim Clench, who replaced Rob Bachman. The most notable songs from the album include the title track, "Rock n' Roll Nights," and "Heartaches," both of which landed on the Billboard Hot 100.
Despite being a critical endeavor, the album failed to attain commercial success comparable to their earlier works. Following the release of this album, the group disbanded but eventually reformed with different lineups in the subsequent years.
