Def Leppard

"Adrenalize" is the fifth studio album by British rock band Def Leppard, released on March 31, 1992. The album followed the massive success of their previous release, "Hysteria," and was highly anticipated by fans. Notably, "Adrenalize" was the first album the band produced following the death of guitarist Steve Clark, who passed away in 1991. Although Clark contributed to much of the writing before his death, the band decided to continue recording as a foursome, dedicating the project to his memory. The album features a polished rock sound typical of Def Leppard's late 80s and early 90s work. It includes hit singles such as "Let's Get Rocked," "Make Love Like a Man," and "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad." Produced by Mike Shipley and the band itself under the pseudonym "the band," the record continued to showcase Def Leppard's penchant for anthemic choruses and layered harmonies. "Adrenalize" was a commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart. It also topped charts in various other countries, solidifying Def Leppard's status as one of the leading rock acts of the era. The album's success was further supported by extensive touring, increasing the band's global reach and cementing their legacy in the rock genre.
