The Knack

"Serious Fun" is an album by the American rock band, The Knack, released in 1991. This album marked the band's reunion, putting an end to a near-decade long hiatus since their last record "Round Trip," released in 1981. After breaking up in the early 1980s, the band re-formed in the late '80s with original members Doug Fieger and Berton Averre. "Serious Fun" was born from the group's rekindled musical partnership and presented to the world with renewed vitality. Regarded as one of the band's most potent musical concoctions, "Serious Fun" comprises a mix of power pop and rock songs. It includes one of the band's biggest post-'70s hit single, "Rocket O' Love," which shot to Number 9 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album was well-received by fans who were eager to hear more from the band that gave them hits like "My Sharona" and "Good Girls Don't." The comeback album, with its mix of fast-paced songs laden with catchy hooks and thoughtful, slow-burning numbers, showcased the band's musical evolution and reaffirmed their status as a force to be reckoned with in the world of rock music.
