"Ultraviolet" is a studio album by British alternative rock band All About Eve. Released in 1992, the album marked a significant departure from the band's earlier folk rock and Gothic rock influences, instead leaning more towards progressive and psychedelic rock.
It was the band's fourth and final studio album, following their initial disbandment. Fronted by Julianne Regan and featuring Andy Cousin and Marty Willson-Piper, the album was met with a lukewarm response, and despite reaching number 36 on the UK Albums Chart, it didn't achieve the commercial success of their previous works.
Tracks like "Phased", "Yesterday Goodbye", and "Outshine the Sun" are some of the most notable songs off the album. "Ultraviolet" used more electronic instruments and effects, taking the band in a new direction creatively. It stands as a substantial shift and unique experiment in the band's discography, ultimately serving as their studio swan song.
