"STORM" is the tenth studio album by a German rock band Pink Turns Blue. was recorded in 2009 at Dark Art Studios in Berlin by Mic Jogwer, Brigid Anderson, Ruebi Walter (guitar), Reini Walter, Andreas Plappert, and Eike Jogwer-Welz. Mixing and mastering were also handled by Mic Jogwer at the same studio. The album was released in 2010 under STROBELIGHT-RECORDS, Austria.
As the title STORM suggests, the recording process for this album was quite turbulent. The band shared the studio with its owner, which initially seemed like a great opportunity due to the extended time available for experimentation. However, the arrangement did not turn out as planned. The band faced constant interruptions, whether from equipment issues or noise from the neighboring band. Frequently, they could only record late at night, often working from midnight until 7 a.m., with some members then heading straight to their day jobs. The situation became increasingly challenging and frustrating, making it a relief to have completed the album at all. About a year after the release, the band moved out of the studio.
While STORM features a number of solid songs and lyrics, the intensity did not quite reach the heights of their previous work. The band learned valuable lessons from this experience.
