Warren G

"The Return of the Regulator" is the fourth studio album by American rapper Warren G. It was released on December 11, 2001, under the Universal Records label. This album showcases Warren G's signature G-funk type of material, and it is the only album Warren G released on a major label other than Def Jam. Guests featured on the album include singers Nate Dogg, El DeBarge, Mike Nitty, Frank Lee White, and rappers Snoop Dogg, RBX, and Dr. Dre, among others. Notably, this album saw Warren G returning to his roots, and was heavily inspired by the G-funk theme, with the artist attempting to create a more authentic West Coast vibe. Lead single "Lookin' at You" accomplished moderate success, however, the album itself received mixed reviews from critics and was a commercial disappointment, failing to reach significant heights on the charts. Despite this, it remains an important part of Warren G's discography as an artist that represented the West Coast hip-hop scene.
