"Davy Jones' Locker" is the fifth studio album by the indie-pop band The Ocean Blue, first released in 1999. This album is significant as it represents the band's first independent release following their tenure with Sire Records.
The reissue, set for August 25, 2023, will be available in vinyl, CD, and digital formats through Korda Records. This version of the album has been remastered, and the band has also released a new music video for the single "Denmark," highlighting their continued relevance and creative energy.
Davy Jones' Locker stands out for being the band’s first self-produced album, created without the help of an external producer or engineer. It was crafted entirely in their own studios with some assistance from friends, allowing them complete control over the creative process. The album features 13 tracks and retains the band's signature mix of indie-pop and alternative rock.
In addition to the reissue, The Ocean Blue is planning a tour later in the year and is working on new music, following up on their successful 2019 album *Kings and Queens/Knaves and Thieves*. They are also considering performing on a cruise in the near future.
