Weezer

"Weezer (also known as the Red Album)" is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Weezer, released on June 3, 2008, by DGC and Interscope Records. The album was produced by Rick Rubin, Jacknife Lee, and the band itself. Notably, all band members contributed to songwriting, and it is the only Weezer album with lead vocals from all four members. The Red Album is characterized by its musical experimentation, particularly in tracks like "Dreamin'", "The Angel and The One", and "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived". Though less commercially successful than their previous album "Make Believe" (2005), the Red Album received better critical acclaim. It produced two successful singles, "Pork and Beans" and "Troublemaker", with the music video for "Pork and Beans" becoming the most-watched video on the internet the weekend it was released. To promote the album, Weezer embarked on the unconventional Hootenanny Tour, replacing the traditional rock concert tour.
