The Passions

"Sanctuary" is the third and final album by the English post-punk/new wave band The Passions, released on September 18, 1982, by Polydor Records. Originally, the album was titled Cars Driven Fast, named after a song on the album, and its artwork was designed with this title in mind. However, the title was changed following the involvement of Cairo Management, though the original title and artwork were still used in some parts of Europe. In November 2019, the album was reissued on CD by Rubellan Remasters, which included nine bonus tracks. These bonus tracks comprised the first five A-side and B-side non-album singles, as well as four live recordings of other songs by The Passions, including their well-known hit "I'm in Love with a German Film Star."
