"Windows in the Jungle" is the ninth studio album by the English rock band 10cc. It was released in October 1983 and signifies a dramatic shift in the band's sound, departing from their original art-pop sound to more progressive and jazz rock styles. The band lineup during this album consisted of its two founding members, Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman.
The album comprises of nine tracks, including the singles "24 Hours" and "Feel the Love (Oomachasaooma)". Despite receiving mixed reviews, the album charted at Number 70 in the UK. The standout single, "Feel the Love (Oomachasaooma)", had moderate success, peaking at Number 78 in the UK singles chart.
In creating the album, 10cc went for a more serious approach compared to their previous works. The original release of the album had five long-form tracks, a departure from their usual format. However, in 1997 a remastered version of the album was released, which included resequenced songs and four bonus tracks.
"Windows in the Jungle" would prove to be the band's last album of all new material for over a decade, with the band briefly disbanding after promotional touring for this album in early 1984. It thus holds an important place as a bookend in the band's expansive discography.
