Ugly Kid Joe

"Menace to Sobriety" is the second full-length album by the American rock band Ugly Kid Joe. Released on June 15, 1995, under the Mercury label, this album shows a significant shift in the band's sound, with a more mature and heavy metal style, contrasting their previous comedic and lighter rock sounds. The album includes a diverse range of stylistic influences, such as hard rock, heavy metal, and even elements of funk. It features the lead single "Milkman's Son" which received considerable airplay and helped the album peak at No. 22 on the UK Albums Chart. Other noteworthy tracks include "Tomorrow's World" and "God". Despite receiving critical acclaim, the album didn't perform as well commercially in the US as their previous releases and it was the band's last album before their initial break-up in 1997. The band, however, has since reformed and "Menace to Sobriety" remains an essential part of their discography. The band member line-up for "Menace to Sobriety" includes Whitfield Crane on vocals, Klaus Eichstadt and Dave Fortman on guitars, Cordell Crockett on bass, and Shannon Larkin on drums.
