"Tourism: Songs from Studios, Stages, Hotelrooms & Other Strange Places" is the fourth studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on August 28, 1992, by EMI. Although it is sometimes mistaken for a live album, Roxette described it in the liner notes as a "tour album." The majority of the material was recorded in various studios between live dates of their worldwide Join the Joyride! Tour. The album features three live concert recordings, one track recorded live in an empty nightclub in São Paulo, and two songs recorded at Buenos Aires' Alvear Palace Hotel.
Upon its release, the album received mixed reviews from American publications, with some confusion over its concept and an incorrect perception that it contained only five previously unreleased songs. It underperformed on the Billboard 200, peaking at number 117 and selling approximately 278,000 copies, which was significantly less than the million-selling Joyride. However, Tourism achieved commercial success in Europe and was certified platinum in several territories. By 2001, the album had sold over six million copies worldwide.
