"The Lost Crowes" is a compilation album by The Black Crowes, featuring two discs of material from the "Tall" and "Band" sessions recorded in 1993 and 1997. Many tracks from the "Tall" sessions are early versions of songs that later appeared on the 1994 album "Amorica," with one also making it onto the 1996 album "Three Snakes and One Charm." The "Band" disc contains recordings from 1997 that were never released, as the band chose to release "By Your Side" in 1998 instead.
Originally scheduled for release in late August 2006, the album was postponed to September 26 due to a manufacturing error that reversed the disc art for the two albums.
