The Black Crowes

"Live" is a live album by The Black Crowes, an American rock band. It was released on August 20, 2002, and contains recordings from their concerts throughout the years 2001 and 2002. The album marks the band's first live album from a concert, while their previous live releases were either compilations of live recordings or albums recorded in the studio in front of a live audience. This album stands out as it features live versions of songs from all of their six studio albums. It includes favorites like "Remedy", "Hard to Handle", and "Sting Me" among others. The Black Crowes, known for their blues-oriented hard rock and soulful lyrics, formed in 1989 in Georgia, USA. The band's original members included the brothers Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson, along with bassist Johnny Colt, drummer Steve Gorman, and guitarist Jeff Cease. Throughout the course of their career, they faced numerous lineup changes but Chris and Rich Robinson remained constant. The album "Live" was warmly received by fans and critics. Its high-energy performances and raw, unfiltered sound are reflective of the band's ability to bring their best to live shows and it is an accurate representation of the musical breadth of The Black Crowes. The band officially split in 2015, however, their contribution to the rock music scene carries on with albums like "Live".
