Ten Years After

"A Sting in the Tale" is the 12th studio album by Ten Years After, released on October 20, 2017. This Deluxe Edition features twelve new tracks alongside four live recordings from their recent tour, including an impressive rendition of their classic hit "I’d Love To Change The World," which continues to resonate today, just as it did in 1971. The band first gained prominence following their electrifying performance at the Woodstock Festival in August 1969. Their unique fusion of jazz, blues, and rock, driven by the dynamic Alvin Lee, made them one of the standout acts of the early '70s. The current lineup features original members Ric Lee (drums) and Chick Churchill (keys), alongside bass virtuoso Colin Hodgkinson and acclaimed guitarist/vocalist Marcus Bonfanti. The title A Sting in the Tale pays homage to their 2015 live album The Name Remains The Same. Although the band has evolved over the years, their sound remains firmly rooted in the rich musical heritage they created in the late '60s and early '70s. This album captures the ‘Sting’ in the continuing narrative of Ten Years After.
