Chet Baker

"Chet Baker Big Band" is an album by jazz trumpeter Chet Baker, recorded in 1956 and released on the Pacific Jazz label. The album features three tracks performed by an eleven-piece group and seven tracks by a nine-piece group. The repertoire includes a mix of standards and original compositions by Christian Chevallier and Pierre Michelot, arranged by Jimmy Heath, Michelot, Chevallier, and Phil Urso. In the original LP liner notes, it is mentioned that "Worrying the Life Out of Me" was written by Phil Urso, who was a regular member of Baker's quintet alongside Bobby Timmons, James Bond, and Peter Littman. However, the composer credits on the LP indicate that the tune was actually composed by Miff Mole, Bob Russell, and Frank Signorelli, who copyrighted "Worryin' the Life Out of Me" in October 1945.
