"Walls" (stylized as WALLS, an acronym for We Are Like Love Songs) is the seventh studio album by American rock band Kings of Leon, released on October 14, 2016, through RCA Records.
Following a New Year's Eve show in Nashville, Nathan Followill mentioned the band's goal to release the album in 2016, noting they had already begun pre-production. Caleb Followill expressed excitement about the creative process and the work involved, indicating the band was in a good place. The album was recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles, where Caleb hoped a change of scenery would provide inspiration, recalling that their first two albums were also recorded there.
In August 2016, the band officially announced the album title, We Are Like Love Songs, along with its release date.
Promotion for the album included a headlining performance at the Lollapalooza Europe festival in Berlin, where they played songs from their entire discography, including the new track "Waste a Moment." The band also performed "Waste a Moment" on Today and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on the album's release day.
The Walls Tour kicked off on January 12, 2017, with another performance of "Reverend" on The Tonight Show later that month.
The lead single, "Waste a Moment," was released on September 9, 2016, and topped Billboard's Alternative Songs chart, marking their first number one since 2010. "Walls" followed as a single on September 23, 2016. An official video for "Find Me" was released in December 2016, serving as a companion to the video for "Waste a Moment." The second single, "Reverend," was sent to alternative radio on February 7, 2017, after previously being released as a promotional single. The third single, "Around the World," was sent to alternative radio on September 19, 2017, after also being released as a promotional single earlier.
