Kings Of Leon

"Aha Shake Heartbreak" is the second studio album by the American rock band Kings of Leon. Released in the UK in October 2004 and in the United States in February 2005, the album helped build the band's reputation in their early years, especially in the UK. The album is a fusion of garage, punk, and southern rock, with it being more raw and loose compared to their first album, "Youth and Young Manhood". The Followills' (band members) continued exploration of love, lust, and the trials of adolescence resonates well throughout the album. The album produced some notable singles, including "The Bucket", "Four Kicks", and "King of the Rodeo". It was generally well-received by critics, featuring a forward progression in the band's unique sound. Among the praise it got for its unpolished nature, "Aha Shake Heartbreak" also helped put Kings of Leon on the map internationally. To date, it has earned a gold certification from BPI, suggesting strong sales within the UK, and has helped solidify Kings of Leon's status as a noteworthy act within the early 21st century rock scene. Although not considered their breakthrough album (that honor goes to their fourth album "Only By the Night"), "Aha Shake Heartbreak" indicated the potential that would eventually be realized by the band.
