"More Than Ever" is the ninth studio album by the band Blood, Sweat & Tears, released in July 1976. This album marked the band's final release with Columbia Records and peaked at number 165 on the Billboard albums chart. It featured one notable single, "You're the One," which charted at number 106 on the US Hot 100 and reached number 6 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
The album saw several changes in the band's lineup. Mike Stern took over on electric guitar from Georg Wadenius, Danny Trifan replaced Ron McClure on bass, and Forest Buchtell replaced Joe Giorgianni on trumpet. Notably, percussionist Don Alias left the band, and Mike Corbett joined as a background vocalist. Although Jaco Pastorius, a renowned bassist, was briefly with the band during this period, he did not contribute to the album.
More Than Ever was produced by Bob James, who enlisted a range of prominent session musicians, including Steve Khan, Richard Tee, Eric Gale, Hugh McCracken, and Eric Weissberg, along with background vocalist Patti Austin, to enhance the album's sound. The cover design of the album was distinctive for its simplicity, featuring a photo of the vinyl record itself. The UK version of the album had a similar design but used the CBS Records label in place of the Columbia label found on the US edition.
In 2003, the album was re-released on CD by the Wounded Bird label in collaboration with Sony Music.
