Zipper Down is the fourth studio album by American rock band Eagles of Death Metal. Released on October 2, 2015, it marked the band's return following a seven-year hiatus since their last album, Heart On, which came out in 2008. The album is composed of cover songs and fresh material, revealing a retro rock and fun vibe. One of the singles, "Save a Prayer," is a cover of the original song by Duran Duran.
Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme co-wrote all of the tracks, and they played most of the instruments as well. The album overall received many positive reviews from critics, lauding Zipper Down as an energetic comeback for the band. It found commercial success, peaking at number 32 on the Billboard 200 chart.
However, the album is also remembered in a tragic light. The band was performing at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris in support of Zipper Down when the venue was attacked by terrorists on November 13, 2015, which resulted in multiple fatalities. Despite this tragic event, the band continued to tour and make music.
