Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga

"Cheek to Cheek" is the first collaborative album by American singers Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, released on September 19, 2014, by Columbia and Interscope Records. This album marked Bennett's fifty-eighth studio effort and Gaga's fourth, showcasing their mutual love for jazz standards. The duo first connected at the Robin Hood Foundation gala in 2011, where they performed "The Lady Is a Tramp," sparking discussions about a jazz project. Inspired to introduce classic songs by composers like George Gershwin and Cole Porter to a new generation, they recorded the album in New York City with a live band and jazz musicians. After delays, the album's release was officially announced on The Today Show, alongside its track listing. It featured two singles, "Anything Goes" and "I Can't Give You Anything but Love," both topping Billboard's Jazz Digital Songs Chart. Upon release, Cheek to Cheek garnered positive reviews, with critics praising the duo's vocal chemistry. The album won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, selling 131,000 copies in its first week. This success made Bennett the oldest artist to reach number one on the chart and marked Gaga's third consecutive number-one album in the US. The album also achieved top-ten positions in multiple countries, reinforcing the duo's impact on the jazz genre. Their second collaborative album, Love for Sale, followed on September 30, 2021.
