Enigma

"Seven Lives Many Faces" is the seventh studio album by the German musical project Enigma, released on September 19, 2008, by Virgin Records. Michael Cretu, the project's founder, described the album as featuring an "omnicultural" sound that sets it apart from previous releases. To promote the album, Enigma offered a pre-listening opportunity on their MySpace page, where it garnered significant attention, achieving over 400,000 listens within just two days. Following this success, several international MTV and VH1 websites began streaming the album until September 22. In addition to the standard release, Seven Lives Many Faces was also made available in DVD format, featuring 5.1 surround sound, much like its predecessor, A Posteriori. The album's unique sound and innovative marketing strategies contributed to its reception, appealing to both long-time fans and new listeners alike. The first two singles from Seven Lives Many Faces are "Seven Lives" and "La Puerta del Cielo." The music videos for these singles creatively incorporate scenes from previous Enigma videos, with "Push the Limits" featured in "Seven Lives" and "Age of Loneliness" used for "La Puerta del Cielo." The third single from the album is "The Same Parents." Interestingly, "La Puerta del Cielo," despite its Spanish title, features lyrics in Catalan. Another track on the album, "Between Generations," is also written in Catalan. Both of these songs were co-written by Michael Cretu and Margalida Roig, showcasing the project's blend of diverse languages and cultural influences.
