"Voyageur" is the fifth studio album by the German musical project Enigma, released on September 8, 2003, by Virgin Records. It marks a notable departure from the sound of Enigma's previous albums. The signature elements of shakuhachi flutes, Gregorian chants, and tribal rhythms are largely absent, replaced by a more pop-oriented style. Tracks like "Voyageur," "Incognito," "Boum-Boum," and "Look of Today" showcase this shift, with "Look of Today" notably incorporating the chorus of ABC's "The Look of Love." Michael Cretu described the album's genre as "sophisticated pop." While the album retains a few familiar elements, such as a reversed cymbal rhythm in "Look of Today" and the chorus of "Sadeness" in "Incognito," it largely represents a new direction for the project.
Voyageur was released on both CD and cassette formats. The CD cover art, created by Johann Zambryski, comes in two different versions:
Normal Edition: Includes full paper inserts.
Special Package Edition: Features a transparent CD cover with the album art printed on the inside of the case and partially on the CD itself, along with a ring-shaped booklet placed under the CD.
In May 2018, Voyageur was reissued on vinyl as part of The Colours of Enigma series, which re-releases all of Enigma's studio albums.
