"Greatest Hits" is the first compilation album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue, released on August 24, 1992. This album marked her final release under Pete Waterman Limited (PWL) and features nineteen singles from her first four studio albums, along with three new tracks specifically recorded for this collection. The album was primarily written and produced by the Stock Aitken Waterman team, and its release signified the end of Minogue's collaboration with them.
Upon its release, Greatest Hits debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, where it remained for eleven weeks, ultimately achieving platinum status for sales exceeding 300,000 copies. In Australia, the album peaked at number three and was certified platinum for over 70,000 copies sold.
This compilation was later succeeded by Ultimate Kylie in 2004 and Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection in 2019, with only a few tracks from Greatest Hits not included in those collections. After leaving PWL, Minogue expressed feeling constrained by the label, describing herself as "very much a puppet in the beginning" and stating that she felt limited in her artistic vision.
