"16 Horsepower" is the first EP by the band of the same name. It was released on November 7, 1995, and is often referred to by fans as the Haw EP, after the title of the first track. This EP is the band's second release, following their 1994 "Shametown" 7" vinyl record, with the A-side of that single being re-recorded for this release. The EP helped solidify the band's unique sound, blending elements of folk, rock, and traditional American music.
