Nina Hagen

"Street" is the fifth solo studio album and seventh overall by German singer Nina Hagen, released on July 22, 1991, through Mercury Records. The album, produced by Zeus B. Held, includes a mix of English and German songs. Hagen, known for her eclectic style, collaborated with notable artists like Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and English dance music producer Adamski. The record continues the trend from her previous album, Nina Hagen (1989), showcasing more downtempo music with elements of hip hop. It features three singles: "In My World," "Berlin," and "Blumen Für Die Damen," and includes a cover of The Beach Boys' classic "Good Vibrations." The album's cover art is notable for its vibrant design, featuring Hagen in outfits by Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood, with her name styled in a font reminiscent of the Walt Disney logo.
