The Church

"Man Woman Life Death Infinity" is the 25th album by the Australian alternative rock band The Church, released in October 2017. This album features the lineup of Steve Kilbey, Peter Koppes, Tim Powles, and Ian Haug. Haug joined the band in 2013 after the departure of longtime guitarist Marty Willson-Piper. Tim Powles noted that the album was unique because, prior to recording, they dedicated time to structure the songs rather than relying primarily on improvisation during the recording process. Matt Collar from AllMusic awarded the album four stars, commenting that it sounds fresh while remaining consistent with the band's earlier work. He highlighted that instead of shying away from the gothy, new wave psychedelia of their youth, the band embraced it, infusing it with emotional maturity and poetic depth gained from their long journey in space rock. The album was supported by two singles before its release. The first single, "Another Century," was released on June 23, 2017, followed by the second single, "Undersea," on September 8, 2017.
