"Forget Yourself" is the fifteenth album by the Australian alternative rock band The Church, released in October 2003. Recorded at drummer Tim Powles' Spacejunk studios, the album features a raw, live sound, with many tracks captured straight-to-tape and minimal overdubs. This approach was a departure from their previous, more polished works, allowing the music to reflect the spontaneity of jam sessions.
The band aimed to maintain the essence of the original material, resulting in a more immediate and less processed sound. Instrument roles were frequently swapped among members, with Powles playing guitar on "Sealine" and Willson-Piper switching to drums on "Maya."
Critics praised the album, with John D. Luersson from AllMusic calling it "a timeless, magical disc" that stands alongside their best work from the 1980s. He highlighted standout tracks like "Telepath," "Maya," and "June" for their ethereal qualities reminiscent of the band's earlier fan favorites. Forget Yourself achieved moderate commercial success, peaking in the top 50 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart.
