"Evening Star" is the second studio album by British musicians Robert Fripp and Brian Eno. It was recorded between 1974 and 1975 and released in December 1975 by Island Records.
The album followed a seven-show European tour that Fripp and Eno had undertaken together. This period marked Fripp's first musical output after the disbandment of King Crimson and was his last before he temporarily retired from music to study at John G. Bennett's International Academy for Continuous Education. Evening Star was released during this brief retirement and remains Fripp's only album to be released in that time.
The album has since been noted for its experimental approach to ambient music. Tracks from Evening Star were later used in the radio series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy during its Primary Phase. Additionally, the tracks "Wind on Water" and "Wind on Wind" were featured on the soundtrack of the 1983 film Breathless.
