Felt

"Me and a Monkey on the Moon" is the tenth and final album by the English alternative rock band Felt, released in 1989 on Mike Alway's él label, a part of Cherry Red. The album was recorded at ICC Studios in Eastbourne in August 1989, following earlier demos in Brighton. The band, having relocated from Birmingham to Brighton, saw Robert Young from Primal Scream replace bassist Marco Thomas, who stayed in the Midlands. Pedal steel guitar was added to two tracks by B. J. Cole. The album received positive reviews, with Sounds critic Roy Wilkinson calling it "perhaps their finest album yet."
