Felt

"The Strange Idols Pattern and Other Short Stories" is the third album by the English alternative rock band Felt, released in 1984 and produced by John Leckie. This album represents a shift from the introspective, guitar-led style of their earlier works, featuring more prominent vocals from Lawrence and a stronger focus on pop melodies. For the first time, a traditional drum kit was incorporated into the band's sound, replacing their previous reliance on tom drums. Tracks 2, 4, and 7 are instrumental. "Sunlight Bathed the Golden Glow" differs from the version released as a single. Additionally, "Whirlpool Vision of Shame" is a re-recording of the earlier single "My Face is on Fire," featuring new lyrics.
