Bryan Ferry

"Boys and Girls" is the sixth solo studio album by English singer and songwriter Bryan Ferry, released on 3 June 1985 by E.G. Records. This album marked Ferry's first solo release in seven years and followed the disbandment of his band Roxy Music in 1983. It stands out as Ferry's only solo album to reach number one in the UK and was certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). In the United States, it became his most successful solo album, earning a Gold certification for sales exceeding half a million copies. The album features the hit track "Slave to Love," one of Ferry's most popular solo songs, which peaked at number 10 on the UK charts. Other singles from the album include "Don't Stop the Dance" and "Windswept." The album is notable for its impressive lineup of guest guitarists, including Neil Hubbard, Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Nile Rodgers of Chic, and Keith Scott from Bryan Adams' band. "Boys and Girls" was remastered and re-released in 2000 and later made available in the SACD format in 2005.
